Nena Nena and Band, Nena Kerner, ネーナ
German New Wave / Synthpop band, active from 1982 to 1987. Fronted by singer Gabriele "Nena" Kerner see Nena Kerner (b. March 24, 1960), the group also featured Jörn-Uwe Fahrenkrog-Petersen (b. March 10, 1960 - keyboards), Carlo Karges (b. 31 Jul 1951, d. January 30, 2002 - guitar), Jürgen Dehmel (b. August 12, 1958 - bass) and Rolf Brendel (b. Jun 13, 1957 - drums). In 1984 they had an international hit with the end-of-the-world fantasy "99 Luftballons", but were unable to capitalise on its success. Attention!
