Javid David Álvarez Fernández known in the artistic world as J Alvarez, was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico on December 13, 1983. His inspiration in music began in Hip-Hop in English of groups such as "A Tribe Called Quest" , "Busta Rhymes" and others. He was still a teenager when at age 12 he dared take a microphone and sang for the first time at the Luis Muñoz Marín School in front of several students and teachers. Her first song was "What She Brings" and giving her respect to artists already established within the genre as Tego Calderón and Ñejo and Dalmata. Thanks to the support of music producer Dj Nelson, he took him to work in his studio and gave him tips to get to the top. With his charisma and humility, J Alvarez has earned the affection and support of other exponents of the genre as Cosculluela, Archangel, JKing and Maximilian, Daddy Yankee, Nova, Jory, Wisin and more. J Alvarez became the first artist of the new generation to have a digital demand on the main urban pages conquering Colombia, Chile, Panama, Peru, Ecuador, Mexico, Venezuela, Dominican Republic, United States, Spain, and his natural country Puerto Rico. Alvarez is the author of countless songs which are "Regale me Una Noche" next to Archangel, Sex Sweat and Heat along with Ñejo and Dalmata, Ponte Pa mi, Dancer, Todo de Mi, among others. The artist released his first album titled "Another Level of Music" in August of 2011 that counted on twenty subjects which includes his now great hits "The Question", "Together the Dawn", "Leave It All Back", "Nothing It's Eternal "," More Women More Money and More Drama "and many more. In 2012 J Alvarez released the Reloaded version of his album "Otro Nivel de Música" ("Another Level of Music") from which the songs "Above You", "Waiting for You" together Arcangel, "Hallucinating", "No Demores" and "Act". The production received nomination in the XIII Latin Grammy like "Better Urban Album" the same year. In addition, his hit song "La Querencia" ranked No. 1 on various Latin American charts, reached the top positions of many radios in the United States and Puerto Rico, and was in the top 20 on Latin Rhythm's list. Billboard Magazine. To continue active in the digital, J Alvarez next to the producers Musicólogo & Menes (producers of Daddy Yankee) also debuted in 2012 with the mixtape Empire Nazza: J Alvarez Edition, from which the success "Se Acabo El Amor" follows. At the end of 2013 J Alvarez served as executive producer on the new proposal of his new company On Top Of The World Music. 1K "The Future of Urban Music" was attended by its artists Benyo El Multi, Prynce El Armamento and Gaona. Also during that year, he was blessed with the arrival of his twins Kasniel and Alexander procreated from his relationship with his wife Maribel. J Alvarez launched his third album "De Camino Pa La Cima" in 2014 that went on sale on February 18. The production consists of 15 songs with Zion collaborations on the theme "Quiere Llegar" and Mackie on the track "Buscándote". J Álvarez simultaneously released the album De Camino Pa 'La Cima Deluxe Edition in digital format which has the same songs as the physical disc adding four more songs, which are "De Camino Pa' La Cima", "Soñar" , "Your Body Calls Party" and "Without Pretext". With the great success of his past album, J Alvarez decided to release the "Reloaded" version of the production that came out on January 27, 2015. This is the fourth studio album by the reggaetonero. Ademá Javid along with Alkilados, El Rookie and Nicky Jam, were nominated for Latin Grammy as "Best Urban Performance" for the single Una Cita. In 2016 the now-named "El Presidente" released their fifth studio album on February 19 titled "J Alvarez From Puerto Rico Live". The production contains 16 songs: nine unpublished and seven live that were recorded during his concert at the Luis A. Ferré Fine Arts Center in Santurce in 2014.
Nova & Jory, are a reggaeton duo. Nova, was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico and Jory was born in Carolina, Puerto Rico. They started their career in 2003, are currently signed to Millones Records. They are working on their debut album Mucha Calidad set to be released November 2010.
Fernando L. González, known as “Nova” was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico, and raised in Santa Isabel and Peñuelas, Puerto Rico. Fernando Sierra, better known as “Jory” was born in Carolina, Puerto Rico, and raised in the Residencial Torres de Sabana. Both performers are into urban music reggaeton, and both had childhood dreams of being professional singers of said genre. At a young age, and through different circumstances, they moved to the United States. Jory was 10 when he moved to the U.S., while Nova moved at age 15.
They both participated many events, talent shows, and televised competitions separately. In 2003, they met and agreed to do a song together. After meeting with successful results withthat first song, they formed a permanent duo and create their first mixtape titled Por Encima. As a duo, they also assisted other prominent artists of the genre, including Ñejo & Dalmata, Wisin & Yandel, Zion, and Jowell & Randy, with their own artistic endeavors.
Since 2007 they have been assisted by BadLandz Entertainment in bringing their talent to the masses, including marketing their talent in Puerto Rico. Due in part to their label, they decide to make the move back to Puerto Rico to solidify what they had already been working on and emerge on the scene as new exponents of the genre. In Puerto Rico they collaborated with Guelo Star on a track titled “Es la Impresion”, serving as producers Yai y Toly “Los Nativos”. Due mostly to “Es la impresion”, the duo become a big hit. They befriended Syko “El Terror” (Syko The terror) and develop what is now their permanent studio and collaborator of their tracks, “Empresario Studio”. They work with their new producer, “Onyx”, bringing their careers to new levels.
The duo collaborated with Syko and Cosculluela in the development of “Bienvenidos a Mi Mundo”, a crude street song expressing the hardships of poverty and violence.The track helped expose them as a solid, exponentially rising duo in the genre and achieved much recognition. The song was followed with a remix featuring Zion, Franco “el Gorila”, Ñejo, Polaco and others. Subsequently, they worked with Yaga & Mackie on “Perfume”. The dou continue to be well received.
In 2008 they broke with BandLandz, signing up with Black Jack Music and releasing their second mixtape, “Salimos del Bloque”, with support from Alex Corolla, AK 47, and Real Talk Reggaeton.
Off the mixtape, one of the tracks produced by “Live Music” called “Traila” caught much attention and airplay, but it was not until “Bien Loco” that they took the genre by storm, receiving tremendous attention throughout Central and South America, specially in Venezuela, Colombia, Panama, and Chile for which prompted a tour in said countries, and having it be one of the top songs of 2009. Following that success, they released other exiting singles such as “Matador” and followed up remix alongside Ñengo Flow, “No Seas Mala” ft Trebol Clan, and earned their participation in the mega remix “Rastrillea 2” ft a large amount of the most prominent members of the genre. Most recently they have signed on to Millones Records, and they keep pushing boundaries coupling with great producers as Walde ‘The Big Maker’, ‘Sinfónico’, ’Jan Paul’, ‘Omi Colchea’, ‘Yampi’, ‘Dj Nelson’, ‘Montana The Producer’, ‘Onyx’, ’Ruff’ y ‘Iván Lee’.
