In the year of 2003 Beema Entertainment went on a tour to the Caribbean island of Curaçao with the artist Masta. That was the place where Beema was introduced to the so-called Reggaeton music. Back in Holland Beema held a special meeting about this new flow of music. During this meeting Beema made the decision to go back to Curaçao and form a new reggaeton group.
Later on that year Beema Entertainment returned to Curaçao and started looking for young and talented people who could rap and sing in the Spanish language. After many talent hunts, several visits to the islands and with the help of their incredible nose for talent Beema found a number of youngsters who where eager to make music. However the beauty of it all is they had no experience whatsoever in music, in singing or live performance.
In October 2004 Beema made another decision to cooperate with these promising young talents, in spite of the fact that they lacked any experience in the music world.
From these fresh, young talents a new group is born “Los BK-Clan”. The group is formed by 5 members. Four boys named: lil’ Boy, Boss Bunny, BiG LuCaS, J.P. la Fama and a girl named Emeli. The age category of these youngsters is between 17 and 20 years old.
Soon after the group was formed they progressed in an incredible way. After a short period they already appeared with Masta on the remix track “When I Hit Ya”. Thanks to Beema the video and the single were presented at different radio and television stations. The track exploded and was a fast and all over success. During 43 weeks it was on the Nr. 1 position in Curaçao.
In August 2005 Beema arranged for Los BK-Clan to have their first very own CD release. The CD named “Flow que Alde” is a promotional edition. All tracks have been written by Los BK-Clan themselves. The trigger of this cd is that the CD begins with the first track they ever wrote and ends with the last track they composed. In that way they wanted to give the audience an idea of how BK developed themselves musically and in a relatively short period.
The first single “Pillando” was chosen and BK also had their first video shoot.
The track was a huge number 1 hit and one of the most requested singles and videos. In the top 20 of Curaçao the track entered at number 17 and reached the Nr. 3 spot within only two weeks. They have also been giving some great live performances and reached a huge audience.
Now in 2007 Los BK-Clan did lots of performances and released many more tracks and videos. They also visited the Dominican Republic for a promotional Tour and were nominated for best group in Latinos I Locales. They will soon return to the Dominican for a great concert.
Los BK-Clan has created a strong base and Beema has been there all the way to watch them grow to the artists they have become today. They have reached a long way and are seen and heared in many countries like: France, Spain, Peru, Dominican Republic, Venezuela and many internet sites. But still there is yet more to come and lots of work to do……
November 20th 2007 is a new era for the group. This is the release date of their debut album “Aceptalo”. The album consists of 16 tracks and is a compilation of reggaeton mixed with various influences of Hip Hop, Salsa, Bachata and more. “Aceptalo will be distributed world wide. and is for sale in 2.400 stores in the U.S.A. only.
